A student from the University of Wisconsin-Madison decided to brave the snowy temperatures.
In a pair of shorts.
The student wore a pair of above-the-knee shorts, a short-sleeved shirt and a pair of trainers, in 17F weather, or -8C.
A photograph of him walking casually through the snow-topped streets, in what looks like a winter storm, was shared by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Twitter page with a warning about wrapping up.
The funny picture was picked up by people on social media and quickly received more than 1,000 likes and hundreds of retweets.
People couldn’t get enough of the brave Wisconcinite.
Others pointed out an eerie similarity with his fashion choice and the Bermuda Olympics team...
Here.
One person shared a picture from Germany. It appears shorts in winter isn't just a thing in Wisconsin...
But mostly, people couldn't handle it...
And a campaign to find him began. #findtshirtandshortsboy
UW Communications Director Meredith McGlone told Channel3000:
We try to have a sense of humour and distinctive voice on social media, but we have an underlying message of be safe, bundle up, just like your mom would tell you.
