This autocorrect cake fail is darkly amusing

Emily Seggie's sister Laura got a 21st birthday present she wasn't expecting this weekend when her mum came home with a cake featuring a pretty unconventional topper.

Emily, from Lanarkshire, told i100.co.uk that at the last minute her mum had sent the baker an additional text asking for a figure with blonde hair to be added to the cake:

What she didn't notice is that her phone had auto-corrected 'blonde' to 'blind': the baker had one job, and she did it exactly to spec. Emily was so tickled by the mistake she uploaded a picture of the cake to Twitter on Sunday, and it very quickly went viral.

Everyone involved thought the mistake was "hilarious", Emily said, but she hoped no one was offended by the image.

The text must have autocorrected to "blind girl" and when my mum went to collect it she was wondered why it wasn't blonde. They then realised what had happened after checking the text and decided to leave it on as was funny.

Well, we hope it at least tasted good.
