Woman horrifies TikTok users after cooking steak in a toaster

Do you remember the lowest moment in your culinary life?

Maybe you were a student and you had far too many microwave meals to count. Maybe you ran out of an ingredient and used a substitute that ruined the whole meal. We’ve all been there, so it’s not that bad in the grand scheme of things.

Unless you’re cooking a steak in a toaster.

TikTok users were aghast at a video of one woman’s experimental approach to cooking.

The cook, who only goes by Juliette on TikTok, sticks two cuts of steak into the toaster and presumably wrecks her appliance forever. Once they’re cooked (to the extent that steak in a toaster can be cooked) she drowns the meat in steak sauce and takes a bite to prove it’s edible.

Viewers were appalled by all of the culinary sins committed.

“I’m not even Gordon Ramsay and I’m mad,” one user wrote in the comments.

“This should be illegal,” another added.

Whether this was all worth destroying a toaster for remains to be seen, but the video did receive over 10 million views.

Unfortunately, this is just the latest in a series of shocking cooking demonstrations. Juliette has also cooked spaghetti and meatballs in a coffee machine, seared a burger on an iron, and made “gourmet water” by melting ice cubes on the stove.

It really doesn’t need to be said but please, do not try this at home.

Whether she’s being serious or executing some top-level trolling, Juliette has secured her place as the most chaotic chef on TikTok.
