A woman's horrific instant messaging conversation with her ex has gone viral

Earlier this week we learned the sad news that AIM, AOL’s instant messaging service, will shut down in December.

AIM was widely used throughout the late 90s and early 2000s, so adults are all feeling a little nostalgic over the official end of the AIM era.

That includes filmmaker Jessica Ellis, who shared the most embarrassing AIM related story on Twitter.

Seriously, guys, it really is cringeworthy.

She wrote:

Jessica asked Josh how his summer was and he says “complicated,” then he elaborates…

Josh says Jessica’s the love of his life and that he can’t imagine doing this without her.

Yeah... the plan wasn't quite what it seemed.
