Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party is not getting off to a great start.

The former UKIP leader is launching his new party to “save Brexit” today – an ambitious goal for a man who has failed to become an MP despite trying seven times.

But he has already been met with a swift backlash from anti-Leave campaigners Led By Donkeys, who realised Farage hadn’t registered the web domain for thebrexitparty.com.

Obviously, they couldn’t resist taking it for themselves…

The new Brexit Party website contains some of Led By Donkeys greatest hits from when they were following Farage on his “March to Leave” last month.

And a message for Brexiteers…

Nigel Farage wants to register a huge victory in the European elections, but he can't even register his own website.

Seven times he’s failed to get elected to Westminster. But he did get himself a seat in the European Parliament because at the time hardly any of us cared.

Well we do now.

In case Farage attacks us for spreading “fake news”, it’s worth pointing out that the Brexit Party did register their own website (thebrexitparty.org) in February.

But even so, the Led By Donkeys website could be a bit of problem for people trying to find information on the party.

And look, there aren’t many reasons to be cheerful if you’re a Remainer these days so we should let people have their fun…

Even before today, the Brexit Party has had a rocky start.

Farage has promised to bring "competence back into British politics" but things aren't going to plan...

The party's founder, Catherine Blaiklock, had to resign last month over a series of anti-Muslim tweets and retweets for far-right activists, such as Tommy Robinson.

Then in April, Michael McGough, the party's treasurer, was removed from his position after antisemitic posts were discovered on his Facebook account.

That shouldn't fill you with confidence for their candidates...
