These are the haunting final words of pilots before major crashes

Black boxes record cockpit conversations and flight data, giving us a rare and chilling glimpse into the last moments of flights.

They make for eerie reading.

"Goodnight, goodbye we perish!"

LOT Polish Airlines' Flight 5055 was heading for New York in 1987 when an engine shaft exploded.

The plane crashed into the Kabaty Woods in Poland. Allegedly, the last words from the crew were: "Goodnight, goodbye, we perish!"

"Don't do that"

The 2016 Boeing 737 FlyDubai flight crashed in severe wind and rain.

An investigation into the disaster revealed the pilot telling a crew member: "Don't do that"

Moments later, the airplane exploded, killing all 62 people on board.

"F***, we're dead!"

It took two years to retrieve the black box after Air France Flight 447 plunged into the Atlantic in 2009.

Before the impact that would kill all 228 people on board, the pilot shouted: "F***, we're dead!"

"That's all guys! F***!"

Vladivostok Air Flight 352 lost control in Russia, killing 136 passengers and nine crew members,

According to the planecrashinfo.com, the pilot's last words were: "That's all guys! F***!"

"Actually, these conditions don't look very good at all, do they?"

Air New Zealand Flight 901 crashed into the slopes of Mount Erebus, killing all 257 on board.

After a technical error, the flight was directed the wrong way en route for a sightseeing trip in Antarctica.

One of the last things the captain said was: "Actually these conditions don't look very good at all, do they?"

"Ma, I love ya"

Pacific Southwest Airlines Flight 182 collided with a private light aircraft in 1978, killing all 135 people on board including two children.

Seven people on the ground were also killed, after both aircraft crashed into North Park in San Diego.

A crew member was heard saying: "Ma, I love ya."

"Wow, pulled back the wrong side throttle"

Just two minutes after taking off from Taipei Songshan Airport, TransAsia Airways Flight 235 fatally crashed in 2015.

This was after the pilot accidentally switched off the plane's only working engine when the other suffered a flameout.

There were 15 survivors from the 53 passengers and five crew members on board.

The Captain's last words were: "Wow, pulled back the wrong side throttle."
