This Arsenal fan managed to trick his wife into naming their daughter after the club

A man has proven himself to be at once both the best Arsenal fan in the world and arguably the worst father.

A clipping which appears to be from a magazine in Australia shows a letter from a woman called Clare Smith and explains the tale of their daughter's name:

We chose our daughter's name, Lanesra, because it was unique and romantic. It wasn't till she was two that my husband told me it was actually his favourite soccer team, Arsenal, spelled backwards!

It's not exactly clear when or where the letter was published but a reverse image search on the clipping turns up results for Australia-based House Proud magazine.

Judging by parenting forums and comment threads elsewhere on the internet, this man may not even be the first Arsenal-supporting parent to have followed a similar tactic:
