This woman had one of the best responses to fat shaming ever

Meet Rachel Taylor.

Last week she went shopping for some new clothes for the July 4 holiday weekend in the US.

Rachel, from Louisiana, was at an Old Navy store when she overheard a conversation between two other customers.

"Today I was shopping in Old Navy, standing in between a teenage girl and her mom," the 24-year old wrote in a post on her personal Facebook and shared with Old Navy's page.

The girl picked up a plus-size tank top, showed it to her mom and said, 'Look! Me and So-and-so can fit in this tank top!' Her mom laughed and said, 'Yeah, you could! That thing is huge!'

Rachel said she burst into tears when she heard the pair laughing because the plus-size tank top was in her size. Her husband went with her back to their car, where she took a moment to get the frustration and upset out of her system.

I couldn't help it; I started crying. I guess the girl and her mom walked away. I have no idea. My husband walked me out of the store to the car.

But eventually she decided not to let the insensitive comments ruin her day and went back in the shop.

I sat in the car crying for a long time but eventually went back inside to finish my shopping.

She headed straight for the changing room with one idea in mind.

I ended up buying that tank top because, it turns out, I look fierce in it!

Rachel took a full-body selfie in the mirror, looking fabulous in her new buy.

Old Navy, thank you for having adorable clothes for all shapes & sizes. I'd like to tell you the story behind this tank...

Rachel finished up her post with a microcosmic life lesson that everyone can relate to:

Be kind. Think about others before you speak. And if someone hurts you, you have to move on.

Since being posted on Friday Rachel's photo has garnered 200,000 likes and been shared more than 10,000 times in a stunning display of internet solidarity.
