The coronavirus pandemic means that, even more than normal, distressing and sad news stories are difficult to escape.

But it’s also true that, alongside the fear and uncertainty that the pandemic has brought, we’ve seen remarkable acts of kindness and solidarity.

Actor, director and (much more importantly) Emily Blunt’s husband John Krasinski put out a call for #SomeGoodNews and one of the replies in particular didn’t disappoint.

April Danz responded to Krasinski’s tweet with a video of her daughter Coco being welcomed home from her final chemotherapy session.

A group of neighbours threw Coco a very responsible socially-distanced welcome home parade, even holding up handmade signs to wish her well (in the absence of the ability to hug her, for obvious reasons).

Get the tissues ready, because this one’s a tear-jerker.

On social media, people were obsessed with the video, which has brought some much-needed positivity to the bleak news cycle.

It's important to remember that, while coronavirus is scary and a very present threat, people like Coco are dealing with serious illnesses every single day.

No, *you’re* crying.
