In a clip from the new series of Keeping Up With the KardashiansKendall Jenner breaks her silence on that infamous Pepsi advert.

In April, Jenner appeared in what many felt was a commercial which appropriated the symbols of the Black Lives Matter movement in order to sell Pepsi.

The complaints grew numerous enough to constitute a 'backlash' and the advert was removed from the air and official Pepsi platforms.

At the time of controversy and in ensuing months, Jenner kept quiet about the commercial.

The opening episode of season 14 of Keeping Up includes a piece to-camera segment in which Jenner speaks about the advert.

I trusted everyone. I trusted the teams. But after I saw the reaction and I read what people had to say about it, I most definitely saw what went wrong. I was so stuck, and I really didn’t know what to do, that I completely shut down.

In tears, she added.

I would never purposely hurt someone, ever. You don’t know when you’re in the moment, and, like, it was the most -

I just felt so f***ing stupid.

The fact that I would offend other people or hurt other people was definitely not the intent. And that’s what got me the most, is that I would have ever made anyone else upset.

The clip has been uploaded to YouTube (below).

Some responses to the clip on social media were sympathetic.

Many were not.
