When her neighbour made homophobic comments this woman had the perfect festive response

Christmas isn’t only the time for merriment, mulled wine and presents: it’s also that time of year you compete with your neighbour for the title of 'Most Festively And Preposterously Lit House’.

The competition usually consists of lots of flashing lights, maybe a ceramic Santa and a few elves set up in the front yard, too.

When Lexi Magnusson’s new neighbour told her why they had moved to the neighbourhood, she decided to do something different with the Christmas lights.

The neighbour's children had been too exposed to “gays and transgenders” in Oregon, prompting them to leave.

Magnusson told BuzzFeed:

She went on to tell us how horrified she was when her son got turned down for prom because the girl was already planning on going with her girlfriend.

So she decided on a little passive aggression.

10,000 times.

The mother-of-four decorated her house with 10,000 lights reminiscent of the pride flag.

I told her that kids were going to be exposed anywhere she went and that I was glad that kids these days get it and aren’t horrible to each other because of who someone is or how they were born.

Needless to say, the neighbours haven’t spoken since, but lots of people on the internet saw her Facebook post and had a lot to say:

The post has been shared almost 2,000 times.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
