Celebrity Cars Las Vegas is still on the hunt for a potential buyer for the car that rapper and activist Tupac Shakur was murdered in amid a drive-by shooting in 1996.

Tupac was killed 25 years ago, and the news shook hip-hop. On September 7, 1996, while in Las Vegas to witness a Mike Tyson fight with Suge Knight and their entourage, suspects in a white vehicle opened fire while stopped at a red light after the event.

Shakur was shot four times, with one bullet striking him in the lung. Tupac died six days later, according to reports.

While there has been speculation about who is responsible for Shakur's horrific murder, and identities of people suspected of pulling the trigger have been released, the case has remained unsolved for decades.

Every new year, it seems like a new Tupac-esque artefact is up for sale, and according to TMZ, the latest will cost collectors a hefty buck.

The rapper's poems, jailhouse letters, and unseen images have all been sold for tens of thousands of dollars each. This time, the 1996 BMW 750IL in which Tupac was shot is for sale, but it will come at a price.

The car has been restored to its original state, with no bullet holes or other damage, and is for sale for $1.7 million.

Potential purchasers can see the automobile in person at Celebrity Cars' Las Vegas showroom, which, according to TMZ, isn't far from the location of the 1996 tragedy.

This automobile went up for auction in 2017 with a $1.5 million asking price. The price was raised to $1.7 million in early 2020.

It's still not clear as to whether the vehicle has had several owners or no buyers at all.
