Nintendo has revealed the latest Switch 2 sales figures as part of its financial results and fans are stunned at how well it has sold.
According to the recent update, as of 30 September, 10.36 million Switch 2 units have been sold worldwide, maintaining its title of the biggest console launch in history. It's already fast closing in on the Wii-U which sold a total of 13.56m units.
As the Switch 2 has sold so well, Nintendo has now upped its estimated Switch 2 sales forecast from 15m units to 19m by the end of March 2026, up by a whopping four million.
Other highlights include the Nintendo Switch closing in on the Nintendo DS which means it could soon become the Japanese company's best selling console of all time. The Switch has now sold 154.01m units and the DS sold 154.02m.
The DS and original Switch are only outsold by Sony's PlayStation 2.
On the Switch 2 specifically, Mario Kart World has sold 9.57m copies and Donkey Kong Bananza has sold 3.49m copies. Pokemon Legends Z-A sold 5.8m copies across Switch 2 and the original Switch in its first week of release but this is too recent to have been included in Nintendo's latest financial performance update.

The Switch 2 stats were reposted into the Nintendo Switch 2 Subreddit and gamers have been left staggered in the comments.
One said: "Pretty much guaranteed that the Switch 2 outsells the lifetime sales of the Wii-U (13.5 million) after the holiday season."
"Holy s***," exclaimed a second.
A third commented: "I've got nothing but support for this and good sales as someone with only a Switch 2. It's had decent third party support so far but with good sales numbers I hope it means we can see increased third party ports of everything they can get on the system in the next 12 months. Nintendo, get those Switch 2 devkits out there."
"They might actually get to 15 million before the end of the year," mused a fourth.
And a fifth hoped: "Need me some Mario or Zelda now please."
