The Rock sends moving message to Ashley Cain’s daughter Azaylia following terminal leukemia diagnosis

Actor and wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has sent an “incredible” video message to Ashley Cain after the Ex on the Beach star revealed that his eight-month-old daughter Azaylia is suffering from terminal leukaemia.

In the video, shared by Cain on Sunday, The Rock said he is “so sorry” to hear of Cain’s tragic news.

He said: “You tell that little lion (Azaylia) that I said ‘let’s go, champ and just stay strong’, and brother, I’m so sorry to hear this news.

“I don’t have to tell you that your daughter’s strength is what strengthens you.

“She’s already had this incredible impact on the world already. Stay strong brother.”

The Rock’s message comes after Cain shared the devastating results of Azaylia’s latest scans.

In a 10-minute video uploaded to Instagram on Friday, he said: “We had an ultrasound scan yesterday, and the results came back today that they found tumours in her stomach, her spleen, her lungs, her kidneys, as well as the tumours in her brain – and the chemotherapy’s not working.”

He went on to add that doctors in Singapore had ruled that immunotherapy known as CAR-T could not be created for Azaylia’s leukaemia.

More than £1.5 million was raised on GoFundMe for the treatment, in less than 24 hours since the page went live.

“So that means that we’re going back home. We’re going back home and we’re going to try and make our baby as comfortable as possible, and we’re going to have as much fun as we can with her as possible,” he said.

The message was shared a day after Azaylia’s eight-month birthday, with Cain saying his daughter has given him “the best eight months of my life through the toughest of times”.

“You taught me how to be strong when I needed strength, you taught me how to smile when I am feeling sad, you taught me how to cherish every single moment - as these moments are all we have,” he wrote.

“My hero. I love you.”
