Chickens**t: the insult dividing Israelis in an altogether unexpected way

The Israeli press is divided following a White House official's description of prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu as "a chickenshit" in an interview with the Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg - but not in the way you might imagine.

The insult is somewhat lost in translation when expressed in Hebrew, with Atlantic's global editor Uri Friedman noting most of the Israeli press is going for פחדן עלוב as a translation along the lines of "pathetic coward", rather than a literal description of the term.
