'Dog Park Debbie' calls police on black man with an excitable dog

It’s 2019 and there’s a new BBQ Becky. The internet has dubbed her Dog Park Debbie.

Video footage of a white woman calling the police on a black man because his dog was “aggressively humping” her dog is the latest in a string of videos to make its way online.

The woman, dubbed ‘Dog Park Debbie’ by shocked viewers online, was videoed by a man called Franklin Baxley, as she attempted to report a crime to the police at Attleboro park.

Baxley, 42, was incredulous, and told the unnamed woman: “This is crazy. Have you heard of BBQ Becky? Because this is the newest one.”

He is, of course, referring to a woman who gained infamy online after she called the police on a black family who had been attempting to have a barbecue in the park.

According to Baxley, who is a former attorney, the woman called the police after she said his dog had “assaulted” hers by “aggressively humping” her.

She had demanded that he leave the park, and when he refused she decided to get the police involved.

Why're you calling the cops right now? Because I told you I wasn't leaving the park? Because my dog humped your dog?

A park worker joined in the conversation, and told Baxley, “That's inappropriate for the dog park.”

“No it’s not,” he responded.

I’ve seen every single dog hump another dog here. She tells me to leave and now she’s calling the cops. Yo this is crazy.

You’re not trying to help me. I know the rules. I’m obeying the rule.

“I took him off,” He added. The woman eventually told him again that he had to leave because his dog was “humping” her dog and “assaulting him.”

Her words shocked Baxley, who responded: “‘My dog is assaulting your dog’ – do you listen to yourself? Are you people serious?

In a later clip, Baxley told the woman that had he been a white man, she wouldn’t have called the police.

He told the Mail Online:

If I were not black, she would not have felt threatened by me talking to her and defying her orders for me to leave the park.

It was about race if you ask me, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this woman does this to just about anyone as she seems a little off.

The dogs were living their best lives the whole time.

According to Baxley, he was forced to leave after “the cop threatened to ticket me for leaving my car running.”

People online were shocked at the woman’s call to the police.

One Facebook user admonished: “Dog park Debbie. You should be ashamed of yourself.”

This is absolutely ridiculous. You’re a discredit to dog owners everywhere. I am a dog guardian, work rescue, work with dogs everyday Your dog was not hurt This is just a case of disgusting bias on your part Shame on you PS I’m also white.

Such racist incidents have become commonplace in parts of America. Last year a string of racist Americans were caught on film being belligerent to people of colour.
