Believe it or not, a dating site for supporters of Donald Trump has launched.

The site, which is simply called Trump.Dating, has been set up by Friends Worldwide, a company that specialises in connecting people with potential partners.

Their aim is to hook people up with like-minded pro-Trump individuals, according to the site.

The tag line for the site is 'Make Dating Great Again' and a statement on the website reads:

Find the America first partner of your dreams.

Dating in 2018 is more of a challenge than ever before, thanks in part to today's polarising political landscape.

While searching for a potential partner on other dating sites, it's not uncommon to see messages like No Trump supporters or Proud liberal.

We're wrecking the dating game and giving like-minded Americans a chance to meet without the awkwardness that comes with the first conversation about politics.

Wouldn't it be refreshing to already know that your date roots for the same team?

However, there appears to be a catch when it comes to signing up for the website: you can only register as a straight man or woman.

This was pointed out by NPR reporter Tim Mak who shared the information on Twitter.

In response, Jim Swift, the online editor of Weekly Standard reported that although the site doesn't allow for gay people, it does allow for people who are already married.

After those tweets went viral. people began investigating the site a little further.

Obviously, there were more than a few jokes.

This isn't the first time a dating site of this kind has gained attention.

In January 2017 Fox News reported on a website called Trump Singles which was said to have at least 24,000 members prior to the President's inauguration last year.

indy100 has approached Trump.Dating for comment.
