The Green Party has pulled ahead of the Liberal Democrats in voting intention for the first time, according to a new survey by YouGov.
Asked who they would vote for if there was a general election tomorrow, seven per cent of respondents said the Green party, with six per cent opting for the Lib Dems.
That news comes on the same day that Nick Clegg compared himself to Arsene Wenger, the manager of Arsenal Football Club. Like the Lib Dems, Arsenal are currently in fifth place, although in the Premier League rather than in the polls...
The deputy prime minister was speaking on his weekly LBC radio chatshow, the deputy prime minister admitted:
I will continue to be the Arsene Wenger of British politics. Arsenal will rise up the table just as Lib Dems will rise up the polls.
