We've all been there, when you send a text to a friend or partner, expecting them to reply, and there's just an ominous silence and a tumbleweed instead...

If you have plans together, it can be particularly frustrating, especially if you've been left 'hangry' after expecting to meet for a meal.

That's exactly what happened to this girlfriend, Paulina Ramirez, when she sent a text to her boyfriend, George Giron, about plans to get chicken and waffles on Tuesday evening, but never heard back.

Instead of raging and getting annoyed, however, Ramirez, who is a 21-year-old student at California State University, Fresno, spent the hour she didn't hear back from him making a professional-grade movie trailer titled 'Where the F*** is George',

Speaking to Buzzfeed news, she said:

He was only asleep for an hour, but I got bored and decided to make a video that might make him chuckle.

After posting the trailer on Twitter, it went viral, with more than 1.4million views, 50,000 retweets, and 160,000 likes.

Taking to the platform, she wrote:

When your boyfriend doesn’t reply so you make a trailer with all the time you have on your hands

People on social media thought the video was hilarious.

Others, however, thought the video showed she as too possessive.

Speaking to Buzzfeed about the reaction the video has garnered, Ramirez said that she thinks some people took it too seriously.

I think people like it so much because it’s relatable. But some people have taken it way too seriously [and ] they think I’m some possessive, lunatic girlfriend.

It was honestly just a joke.

Ramirez has also been inundated with job offers over the trailer, which she made on iMovie on her iPhone.

I’ve actually had some people message me wanting to pay me to edit videos for them.

I don’t have any knowledge on how to edit videos or anything of that sort.

I am the least tech-savvy person I know — it was all just an iMovie template.

Many people on social media were also curious to find out how George reacted to the video when he finally responded.

Apparently, he had a simple response:

He woke up and thought it was funny.
