Ivanka Trump ridiculed for saying 'we are going to the Moon and Mars'

Ivanka Trump has again felt the scorn of the internet after she praised the successful SpaceX and Nasa launch on Monday.

The Falcon 9 rocket took off from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, carrying the SpaceX Dragon capsule for a manned mission to the International Space Station, a destination it has since reached.

While praising the successful launch, Ivanka said in a tweet 'We are going to the Moon soon and Mars thereafter,' adding that her father, president Trump 'dreams big and shoot for the stars.'

There's not much wrong with this, as a current White House staff member and the daughter of the president she has every right to promote great things that are happening in the United States.

However, we should bear in mind that this is Ivanka Trump and when she says 'we are going to the Moon and Mars' then people tend to take her seriously.

Soon enough she was swamped with messages telling her and her family to not come back from outer space, which would seem like wishful thinking.

Other's criticsed her for appearing to take credit for the achievement, all of which should go to Nasa and Elon Musk's SpaceX team and was put in place way before Trump arrived in the White House.

Still, at least Ivanka appears to know that the Moon and Mars are completely different things. The same can't be said for her father.
