Jeb! Bush's 'America' gun was actually made by a company from Belgium

Things keep going from bad to worse for Republican presidential candidate Jeb! Bush.

The ex-governor of Florida, once seen as a shoo-in for the GOP nominee for president, has led a dismal campaign, overshadowed by outsiders Donald Trump and Ben Carson and his political juniors Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.

Last week, Bush the younger had to ask supporters: "please clap".

On Tuesday night, he tweeted a picture of a gun with one word - "America" - and no other explanation or context.

The tweet was cause for consternation from critics and well-wishers alike.

Alas for Jeb!, true to the PR clusterf-ck we've come to expect from him by now, it's pointed out the gun isn't even American. It's made by a Belgian company.

In further bad news for Jeb!, it was discovered this week that trying to access www.jebbush.com now directs you to... Donald Trump's campaign website.

His campaign team forgot to pay to renew the domain name, and Trump snapped it up.

Jeb!, honey, put the gun down. It's time to go home now.
