People are remembering their last normal days before lockdown changed everything

People online are reminiscing about the before the coronavirus restrictions to mark the anniversary of the first lockdown.

It was prompted by a BBC Breakfast post on Twitter asking if people could recall their last days before everything changed and social distancing became the law. The World Health Organisation declared a pandemic on 13 March 2020, and the UK lockdown on 23 March.

Some people remembered the day they caught the virus

Some recalled work events.

Some thought about travelling.

Some remembered partying.

Going to the theatre

Some thought about visiting friends and family.

As it currently stands, we are due to be completely rid of social distancing measures on 21 June. This follows after Prime Minister Boris Johnson said we will be “driven by data, not dates.” therefore it could be subject to change.
