People are trying to guess the 'unusual' name of the royal baby and it's hilarious

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the birth of their first baby on Monday, a healthy 7 pound 3oz baby boy, and people have started to guess what he's going to be called.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have yet to make the name of their first-born son public, however, a royal expert has weighed in to suggest that the name could be 'unusual'.

Speaking to CBS, royal expert Victoria Arbiter said:

I think there are a lot of names here that work with the British royal family tree but also have strong roots here in the U.S.

The Daily Express also got involved, saying:

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to choose UNUSUAL name for baby that UNIFIES the US and UK

So, an unusual name that will unite the United Kingdom and the United States? Well, it goes without saying that people online wanted to get involved with guessing what exactly this name could be.

Button mushroom?

Killing Eve, that'll unite the US and the UK.

Or The Office, that's popular on both sides of the pond.

Paddington 2!

Impeach Trump!

Jaydin, that's pretty transatlantic.

Boaty McBoatface take two.

We all love Carpool Karaoke!

Special Relationship. Going strong.

We also all love Sting. That would be catchy.

Forget transatlantic - how about just the Atlantic.

Things got political...

Baby 'The Rock' it's got a ring to it.

In a video on the Sussex's official Instagram account, Prince Harry announced the birth of the baby boy. Speaking to the gathered press, he said:

We are very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning… it’s been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine.

We’re still thinking about names. The baby’s a little bit of energy, so we’ve had a little bit of time to think about it.

According to the bookies, Arthur is currently the most popular choice for the baby boy, with odds of 5 - 1, followed at Philip, with odds of 6 - 1, reports the Independent.
