If you were anywhere near a radio in 1998, you would have most definitely heard the song 'That Don't Impress Me Much' by Shania Twain.

The song was a monster hit and the album it was from (Come On Over) sold over 17 million copies in the US alone.

For old times sake, here is the song again.

Thanks to the song's prevalence, the lyrics have been etched into many people memories.

These ranged from 'Okay, so you're a rocket scientist,' to 'Okay, so what do you think you're Elvis or something...'

Unquestionably the most famous and well remembered were the following few lines about Brad Pitt.

Okay, so you're Brad Pitt.

That don't impress me much.

So you got the looks but have you got the touch.

Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright.

But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night.

Now, apart from that awful photo shoot, I think you'll agree that there isn't much to be unimpressed by when it comes to Mr Pitt.

So, what was Shania talking about? Turn's out it's actually a lot more complimentary than we all first perceived.

At the time, Pitt was involved in a bit of a scandal with Playgirl magazine, who had printed photos of him while he was on holiday with ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow.

Pitt would go on to successfully sue the magazine, but Twain couldn't fathom why it had been turned into such an issue.

During an interview with Billboard, the 51-year-old singer said.

I remember I had a girl friend visiting me and it was near Christmas and we were baking cookies. I was writing this album and there was a scandal of [Pitt] and Gwyneth [Paltrow] where there was naked photos of him.

And this was like all the rage. I just thought 'I don't know what all the fuss is about.'

I'm like, well that don't impress me much, I mean what is all the fuss. We see people naked every day. That's really what I thought.

I wasn't picking on Brad Pitt. But that was just the association in that moment and things we make fusses about and whatever. Of course, it could have been any gorgeous guy.
