Simon Biles does an amazing backflip in jeans before first pitch at World Series game

The remarkable Simone Biles is up to her old tricks with an incredible flip in jeans before throwing out the first pitch of Game 2 of the World Series in Houston.

The video has gone viral and features the most successful gymnast in history, still just 22 years of age, complete a back flip and a twist before casually throwing the ball to Houston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick.

Watching Biles exhibit her extraordinary gifts is not dissimilar to seeing Gene Kelly performing Singin’ in the Rain or Lionel Messi playing football; it allows us a brief taste of the infinite and makes believers of us all. It is almost spiritual watching this young woman contort her body in ways that seem scarcely credible.

What a privilege it is to be living in Biles’ time.
