The Tory press office made a very awkward typo

The Conservative Party press office had a bit of a nightmare on Wednesday.

First off was the response to Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn's appointment of Islington South and Finsbury MP Emily Thornberry as shadow defence minister in Labour's excruciatingly slow reshuffle.

Thornberry, like Corbyn, is in favour of scrapping the Trident nuclear programme. CCHQ reacted a tad melodramatically:

Twitter was quick to point out the tweet echoed prime minister David Cameron's words when Corbyn was elected Labour leader:

And then, after Prime Minister's Questions, CCHQ tweeted out a (probably) definite typo which meant they effectively claimed that inequality has risen under Cameron's government:

Step away from the keyboard, CCHQ.
