Today in moral panics, Republican Montana state representative David Moore is trying to ban yoga pants as part of a new bill.
House Bill 365 would expand the definition of indecent exposure to include garments that can display the shape of a person's buttocks, genitals, pelvis and, in the case of women, nipples. AP reports yoga pants (for the uninitiated, a garment similar to leggings) would come under than definition. The only good thing about the bill? It explicitly rules out breastfeeding.
At the moment a person convinced of indecent exposure three times in Montana can be sentenced to life in jail and fined up $10,000.
