Donald Trump Jr attempted to brag about his father’s accomplishments, and it went down about as well as you’d expect.

The son of the former president tweeted that Trump is the “first president in modern history” to not start a new war.

Also, there’s a pretty obvious grammar error in Trump Jr’s tweet: “Donald Trump is the first president in modern history did [sic] not start a new war.”

The tweet fails to mention the major detail that Trump pedalled baseless accusations of voter fraud, inciting a deadly insurrection at the Capitol.

Responses came flooding in, informing Trump Jr of the aforementioned riot he instigated, plus the fact that 400,000 Americans have died because of a pandemic his administration failed to take decisive action against.

“More Americans died during Trump's presidency than died in World War I or World War II,” Atlantic contributing editor Norman Ornstein replied.

“Didn’t feel that way a couple weeks ago when I was barricaded in my office,” Pennsylvania congressman Brendan Boyle added.

Former vice president Mike Pence was similarly mocked for boasting that the Trump administration was the “first in decades that did not get America into a war”. Not for a lack of trying, Pence.
