In recent years Twitter has seemingly had more worst days than it has had good days.

What, with the rampant trolling, blocking people for just having a little bit of fun and you know... Nazi's. It can often be a depressing space.

Every now and again though the stars align and news stories happen that make Twitter a very funny environment for 24 hours or so.

Seeking to learn what the exact best day ever in Twitter history was Gene Park of the Washington Post posted the following question.

Luckily, his request didn't fall on deaf ears and Twitter responded with these very appropriate answers.

Perhaps the most popular answer was February 26, 2015, which featured the epic llama chase and the 'what colour is the dress?' debacle.

Next up was September 11, 2017, aka the night Ted Cruz 'liked' a hardcore porn clip.

A controversial incident was that of n****r navy, an accidental racist tweet sent by Yahoo Finance on January 5, 2017.

June 8, 2017, which was the night of the UK general election, the James Comey testimony and of course when Newsweek pundit Kurt Eichenwald showed an image of his computer screen which featured a search for 'B-Chiku', also known as tentacle porn.

A recent one, which occurred on July 12 this year was when New York magazine writer and outspoken conservative Jonathan Chait got BOFA'D.

Who could forget the monumental failure that was the 'luxury' Fyre Festival in the Bahamas on April 28, 2017.

How about February 26, 2017, the night of where the Oscars went mad?

August 3, 2017, when the poor man got destroyed for liking his curvy wife.

Somebody had to mention 'covfefe' didn't they?

#HasJustineLandedYet was also pretty epic.

Fortunately there were suggestions for nice things that weren't based on others misfortune or misdemeanours.

Our favourite has to be Bat-Kid Day on November 13, 2013.
