By now, you might have already seen that the 2020 US presidential election was quite the event, leaving many who watched it stressed and biting their fingernails.
The race couldn't have been closer between Donald Trump and Joe Biden and at the time of writing, no winner has been declared with key states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan yet to release their results.
Regardless of whether you are a Republican or a Democrat is was completely nerve-wracking and not what many polls had predicted.
For those watching on CNN, the anxiety of the entire situation couldn't have been more heightened by the fact that their coverage of the election, specifically their 'Key Race Alert' was sponsored by Calm, a mindfulness app designed to relax and relieve anyone from the stresses of everyday life.
The irony of the situation couldn't be ignored and soon enough the Calm app was trending on Twitter but for all the wrong reasons.
Brought to you by the CALM app?!?!? I actually lol’d https://t.co/0jQWTOW3CS— Rachel Bonnetta (@Rachel Bonnetta) 1604449901

Apparently, it was later sponsored by a dieting company called 'Noom' which might have been a subtle dig at the many people who had binged on fast food and alcohol all night.
Needless to say, it was not a stress-free night but we'd put good money on Calm app downloads experiencing a sudden spike last night with people trying to reassure themselves everything was going to be OK.
