Video captures the moment a college roof party goes wrong

A college party in California ended up with nine people being injured and four needing hospital treatment after a roof collapsed. None of the injuries were life threatening.

Thousands of students had been attending an early St Patrick's Day party at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo when the roof around 30 of them were standing on caved in on Saturday morning. The most seriously injured person had a piece of debris in their thigh.

Police Police Capt. Chris Staley said three people were arrested for misdemeanours after the collapse. "This is completely unprecedented," he said. "We've never had anything like this."
