LGBT+ Pride Month is a time when people from across the LGBT+ community should feel able to express themselves freely and openly.
But for members of the community with disabilities, this isn’t always as easy. Thankfully, LGBT+ public figures such as model Nyle DiMarco have been raising awareness of deafness. YouTuber Jessica Kellgren-Fozard, who suffers from Hereditary Neuropathy with Pressure Palsies (HNPP) and Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD), has more than 250,000 subscribers on YouTube.
Communicating through GIFs like a true millennial, Jessica has marked Pride Month by teaching people how to say different sexualities and identities in British Sign Language. Watch her spell out L-G-B-T-Q below.
Twitter users reacted to this impromptu sign language lesson with overwhelming positivity.
