Something strange is going on with Google Maps

It's long been suspected that someone at Google has a vendetta against Tottenham Hotspur. First Spurs were cited in the definition of lackadaisical and dodgy.

Now it has emerged that if you type the word 's**thole' into Google Maps when based in London it takes you to White Hart Lane, where the team is based...

That's not the only odd feature in Google Maps at the moment. We're pretty sure we are not supposed to get to Number 10 Downing Street after searching for 'The Cesspit'.

The changes are likely to have been caused by users, who previously managed to add a cat and the X-Men mansion to Google Maps.

A Google spokesperson told i100.co.uk: "We've shown this edit the red card, and it will be sent off from Maps very shortly."
