Chris Evans accidentally spoiled Avengers: Endgame for one of his co-stars

Despite the fact that Marvel's Avengers: EndGame is well and truly over, it's like the gift that keeps on giving.

Spoilers ahead!

Chris Evans, who plays Captain America in the Marvel movies, appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, where he revealed that he accidentally revealed a major spoiler about his co-star's character.

He did a Tom Holland (yes, this is a verb now).

The Marvel script had been kept under extreme secrecy at the time, and they worked so hard to ensure no leaks occurred that actors were only provided with parts of the script.

Evans had been given the part where Captain America bequeaths his beloved shield to Falcon. He recounted the moment he told Anthony Mackie about the fate of his character Falcon.

I said, 'Hey man, isn't that scene fantastic?'“ recounted Evans. ”And [Mackie] said, 'What scene?'

And I said, 'The scene where I give you the shield.' And he said 'You're giving me the shield?' And I said, 'Oh no!'“

“I didn't know he didn't know what was going to happen,” said Evans.

Deep.
