SNL's Sesame Street parody of Joker might be better than the actual movie

SNL's Sesame Street parody of Joker might be better than the actual movie

There have been many takes since the release of Todd Phillips’ Joker, a film that has divided critics and generated more column inches than almost any other work of art of recent years.

The cast and crew of Saturday Night Live have now combined the film with Sesame Street and provided an origin story for notorious whinger Oscar the Grouch.

David Harbour, star of Stranger Things, stars in the spoof as a moody garbage man who confesses he feels an affinity with trash.

He says:

If everyone calls you trash and everyone treats you like trash, why don't you just become trash?

The parody trailer concludes with a homage to Joker’s appearance on a chat show at the film’s denouement with Oscar asking:

Would you do me one favour, would you call me the grouch?

Watch and enjoy. Everyone else is.
