The best part of sport is the statistical analysis. Everyone knows that.

The only reason we hold the matches, races, games, is to get the precious data.

On Sunday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Conor McGregor in a super welterweight boxing match at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.

After 10 rounds, Mayweather held onto his title as undefeated world champion.

Prior to this Mayweather fought and defeated Manny Pacquiao, and Cenelo Álvarez.

Sports number crunching site MMA Fighting tabulated which of Mayweather's three opponents had landed the most punches against him.

McGregor, whom some pundits suggested would be unable to land a single punch in fact landed 111.

Further analysis by site Boxing Scene found that he also landed more power punches than the total number landed by Manny Pacquiao.
