Democrat goes viral for incredibly NSFW name that nobody was prepared for

A Democrat congressman has gone viral, but not for the reasons you'd expect.

Richard Nelson 'Dick' Swett, a Yale graduate, served as a representative for New Hampshire's 2nd District from 1991 to 1995, and from 1998 to 2001, was appointed as US Ambassador to Denmark by president Clinton, and officially endorsed Joe Biden for president on Monday evening.

Making his endorsement official on Manchester's WMUR9 news station, he said:

I think it’s absolutely imperative that we bring back civic civility, that we have respect in our political system, and that most importantly, that we are able to restore the bond of civic affection for this nation.

This is a great country, and Joe loves it more than I think anyone alive in this country, and I think he’s the man to bring that forward to help people understand that this country is worth saving, that it’s worth making better.

However, he hit the headlines for a reason other than his political beliefs...

His unusual, and let's be honest NSFW, name soon began to trend on Twitter, where it caused quite a stir among social media users.

This isn't the first unusual and let's say hilarious name to hit the headlines this week. On Thursday, Ukip announced that Richard Braine would be taking over from Gerard Batten as the party's leader, after he won 53 per cent of the vote in a members' ballot.

Many social media users were quick to point out that they thought it was hilarious that the much-maligned right-wing party ended up with a leader called Dick Braine.
