Donald Trump said he won the majority of the female vote. But he only counted white women

During a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump boasted that he received the majority of the female vote during the 2016 general elections.

He said:

Women! Women we love you!

Hey, didn’t we surprise them with women during the election. Remember? ‘Women won’t like Donald Trump’ I said have I really had that kind of a problem? I don’t think so.

We got 52 per cent, right? 52.

And I’m running against a woman! You know it’s not that easy.

Except people quickly pointed out one crucial missing detail in his statement:

Trump received 52 per cent of the vote from white women.

Only a quarter of Hispanic women voted for Trump, and just four per cent of black women.

In fact, Hilary Clinton got the majority female vote, with 54 per cent, and Donald Trump lost the popular vote.

According to Washington Post the exit poll shows he got only 41 per cent of the vote from women.
