Model ‘uninvited’ from friend’s wedding ‘because she looked too good’ in dress

A model claims she was “uninvited” to a friend’s wedding because the bride thought she looked “too good” in her dress.

In a TikTok that has been viewed more than five million times since it was uploaded three days ago, 21-year-old model Alena wrote: “My close friend uninvited me to her wedding because she thought I looked too good in the dress SHE chose for me.”

She added: “Still took some fire pics in it tho… [sic]”

She then showed pictures of herself wearing a glittering gown adorned with silver and blue sparkles.

Commenting on the video, one viewer wrote: “Ok well she wasn’t wrong damn girl” along with heart eye emojis.

Another said: “She’s the one who chose the dress so she could’ve just asked you to change your dress instead of rudely uninviting you.” Another viewer replied to say they guessed the TikToker refused to change the dress. Clarifying what happened, Alena replied: “That’s not what happened. I never ‘refused’ anything. She told me she didn’t want me to wear it last minute. I couldn’t even find a different dress.”

“Why didn’t she just pick a different dress then?” another asked. Alena responded: “Literally” with a laughing emoji.

One comment with more than 14,000 likes likened her to Ariana Grande.

Responding to this comment in a video, she posted a video of the singer before cutting to a video of her lying on her bed.

She also shared the pictures to Instagram with the captions: “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend” and “elegance is refusal”.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of a bride worrying about how a guest looks on their big day. Earlier this year we wrote about a woman who was accused of “upstaging” her sister at her wedding due to her 100-pound weight loss.
