Let's face it, we don't really go to the Post Office much anymore.

You might have popped in to collect a letter that someone was too cheap to fully pay for, or perhaps pick up a parcel that had no chance of fitting in your letter box, but now you might need to take a trip there so you can go back home and watch porn.

The Digital Economy Act has just been passed into law, introducing age restrictions for online porn to clampdown on under-18s accessing NSFW websites.

And as part of the act, under the law, every porn site will have to verify the age of its users, or face a hefty fine.

The new law could also require people to prove their age using the electoral roll, their bank details and phone number – and they may need to take a trip to the Post Office to register their age, according to The Sun.

Just make sure it's not around the same time your grandma goes to top up on stamps.

This part of the act has faced criticism from privacy campaigners, but after a long battle it's passed through the houses of Commons and Lords.

But, on the bright side, the act is also setting out to improve our access to broadband... So, yay?
