Joke business cards are fantastic at times, take a look at this one.

The best part is that it's a joke, but not in the way you expect – it’s real. Chade-Meng Tan’s official job title at Google is "Jolly Good Fellow".

The reason he is titled "Jolly Good Fellow" is because he is a fellow at Google - in that he is a valued engineer.

And he's the 'Jolly Good' fellow because he's now the engineer of happiness, or making people feel - as you've probably guessed - jolly good.

On his website, Chade-Meng Tan, who says he calls himself "Meng" because he "realised Americans can't do names with more than one syllable", described his job status as such:

I'm now semi-retired. My current job description at Google is: "enlighten minds, open hearts, create world peace". In my free time, I try to save the world.

The class he started at Google, "Search Inside Yourself", led to a bestselling book of the same name. It proved wildly popular and has evolved into a programme with thousands of applicants every year.

It focuses on teaching Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, leading to a compassionate workplace and maintain calm, clear functionality.

The premise, essentially, is based around the evidence that human compassion produces happiness, and that the practice should be encouraged systemically.
