Woman uses PowerPoint to tell parents she’s a stripper and their reaction is incredible

Have you ever been nervous to tell your parents something? Is it better to just spit it out or to orchestrate a formal meeting?

Well, one woman called Lex opted for a very unique way to tell her parents the rather major news that she works as a stripper - via a PowerPoint presentation.

The video of the moment was uploaded to TikTok by her sister Sami and it quickly became a hit, garnering four million views and almost 800,000 likes.

@lex1898 is WILD😩 Jokes aside our parents are the literal best, my mom said “I’m surprised how proud I am” 🥺😭😭 #hotgirlshit #getthatbagsis

Lex started the presentation by saying she wanted to share a secret to let those she loves most know what’s going on in her life.

To put her parents at ease, she quickly made clear that the secret is not that she is pregnant or in danger.

Finally revealing why she called the impromptu meeting, she exclaimed: “I’m a stripper, as in I pole dance, and I love it.”

She even included a Frequently Asked Questions slide where she explained how her job lets her express herself safely in a sex-positive environment, adding that she enjoys the performance and theatrical side to her role.

She also pre-answered the inevitable follow-up questions around safety and other work by telling her parents that there is full anonymity at the club and that she does no other sex work aside from stripping.

Lex said: “It’s one of the funnest jobs I’ve ever had so I just wanted to share that with you because you deserve to know and I didn’t want you to worry so that’s why I had the FAQs.”

And her parents’ response was amazing.

Her supportive mum said: “I really appreciate you being forthright and sharing your life with us and I’m glad you’re powerful”. She then gave her a high-five.

Her sister captioned the TikTok: “Jokes aside our parents are the literal best, my mom said ‘I’m surprised how proud I am’.”

In the comments, Lex posted an update to say the only question her dad asked was how much money she was making and added: “They’re seriously the best and earned the trust and respect we share.”

Others left comments of support, including Tinder’s official account which wrote: “This is now a Lex1898 stan account.”

Another added: “Spoken like a true accountant.”

Whether you’re telling your parents about your new occupation, or telling your crush you like them, it seems a PowerPoint is the way to go.
