Women are sharing memories of the first time they were harassed

For many women, sexual harassment is an uncomfortably common experience.

Whether you're on the bus, walking down a main road or sitting outside a cafe the penalty many females pay for being in public spaces is attracting unwanted attention from the opposite sex.

Now, Twitter users are sharing their experiences under the hashtag #firstharassed.

What's most disturbing about the stories isn't just the content - it's that nearly all of them happened when the women involved were well under the age of consent.
