The building where the Tory Party Conference is being held is funded by the EU

The Tory Party conference is in full swing.

As Conservatives gather in Manchester for their annual party conference amid no-deal Brexit fears and a near-permanent mood of uncertainty and division, they’ve settled on a new slogan.

Get Brexit done.

It’s straight to the point, at least, even if we discount the fact that Brexit would already be “done” by now if Conservative MPs hadn’t rebelled at every turn.

But there’s just one problem.

The building that Tory conference is being held in, Manchester Central Convention Complex, is actually funded by the EU. The same EU that most Tories are ardently against. The BBC's Andrew Sinclair put the image on Twitter.

Naturally, people on Twitter found this hilarious.

Though naturally, Brexit supporters also chimed in.
