Gaming studio Bungie has revealed crucial Marathon gameplay updates players can expect in the coming weeks "early".
Marathon is a first-person sci-fi extraction shooter from the developers of Halo and Destiny focusing on PvPvE (player versus player versus environment) gameplay.
Its endgame update featuring the Cryo Archive map recently went live and critic reviews have been emerging since, with the game sitting at a score of 82 on MetaCritic.
With it being a live service game, Marathon will continue to be developed and Bungie has revealed two key changes for the Recon shell arriving in the mid-season update on 14 April "early" due to "popular demand".
Bungie said: "Echo Pulse will now distinguish between the Runner and UESC targets that are pinged. We're also reducing its visibility to enemies, making it a bit tougher for enemy Runners to gauge if they're in range.
"Notably, if you're a Runner who cleverly used their Signal Jammer before Echo Pulse hit you, you'll also show up as UESC. Use this power wisely.
"Tracker Drone: your friendly neighbourhood Tracker Drone is about to get a bit more aggressive. With [update] 1.0.6, we're improving its tracking strength and allowing it to find a new target to track if it cannot reach its current target. Runner beware.
"That's just a taste of what's to come. Keep some tick milk on ice, we'll share the full patch notes closer to 1.0.6's release date."
Marathon is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
