People are sharing this 'awkward' moment between Donald Trump and Ivanka

Advisor to Donald Trump and first daughter Ivanka appeared to some to be on the receiving end of an awkward embrace at an event last Thursday.

Mr Trump joined the 36-year-old after she finished speaking at the H&K Equipment Company event in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.

Many people shared what they thought to be an 'awkward' kiss on Twitter:

In a video posted later (above), however, it appears the moment was nothing more than a peck on the cheek - proving once again a picture doesn't always tell a thousand words.

The pair were touring the H&K facility and spoke to supporters and employees following the administration’s new tax overhauls.

Other times Mr Trump raised eyebrows

This isn't the first time people have made comments about how Mr Trump acts around his daughter. When asked about Ivanka in a 2015 interview with Rolling Stone, Mr Trump said: “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren't happily married and, ya know, her father..."

Perhaps the most shocking moment was during an interview on The Vine in 2006, when Donald and Ivanka were together promoting season three of The Apprentice.

The host asked Mr Trump how he would react if Ivanka posed for Playboy magazine. He said:

It would be really disappointing — not really — but it would depend on what's inside the magazine.

I don't think Ivanka would do that, although she does have a very nice figure. I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her.
