Aliens have never attempted contact with the Earth, according to Edward Snowden, who cited CIA’s search engine.

Sad times for alien enthusiasts and people Naruto-running their way to Area 51.

The former employee of the CIA and National Security Agency (NSA) contractor revealed that his access to America’s secrets didn’t yield any results when it came to extra-terrestrials.

Writing in his memoir, Permanent Record, Snowden spoke about using CIA’s Google-like search engine to look for evidence of aliens. Because if you had access to the CIA, proof of E.T. is obviously the first port of call.

“For the record,” he began, “as far as I could tell, aliens have never contacted Earth, or at least they haven't contacted US intelligence.”

And for conspiracy theorists who believe the moon landing was a hoax – it wasn’t.

Also climate change is real, chemtrails aren’t.

In case you were wondering: Yes, man really did land on the moon. Climate change is real. Chemtrails are not a thing.

The NSA whistleblower talked about conspiracies during an episode of The Joe Rogen Experience podcast and he set the record straight then, too.

"I know, Joe, I know you want there to be aliens," Snowden told the host. "I know Neil deGrasse Tyson badly wants there to be aliens. And there probably are, right?”

But the idea that we're hiding them -- if we are hiding them -- I had ridiculous access to the networks of the NSA, the CIA, the military, all these groups. I couldn't find anything," he continued. "So if it's hidden, and it could be hidden, it's hidden really damn well, even from people who are on the inside.
