Idris Elba wins 'Sexiest Man Alive' and he had the best response ever

Idris Elba has arguably been bestowed with the most important title ever: People's 'Sexiest Man Alive' and even took the time to remind people to vote in the midterm elections.

The actor tweeted his victory on Monday, after successfully unseating Grammy Award-nominee Blake Shelton.

"I'm honoured & thankful," Elba tweeted. "What’s even more important is your vote in the midterm elections. Your vote can make a difference!"

Elba's new honour was announced on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in a wonderfully humble interview where he even gave a shout out to his mother.

As if people needed more of a reason to love Idris, this pretty much sent people into overdrive.

Fans took to Twitter to praise the should-be James Bond we all deserve.
