Woman dressed as Elmo gets into bizarre confrontation with Jeremy Corbyn

It's a general election day and it's safe to say that literally anything can happen, including a party leader almost getting into a confrontation with a person dressed as Elmo from Sesame Street.

This is exactly what went down today between Jeremy Corbyn and a woman who was dressed as the fluffy character as the Labour leader arrived at his polling station in north London.

According to the Guardian, the woman tried to approach Corbyn before he entered the building but was quickly apprehended by his security and forced against a wall.

In a hilarious moment the woman takes off the head of her costume and places it on one of the security guards heads, as some sort of distraction technique before Corbyn intervenes saying:

Hello guys, can we stop the arguments please.

This bizarre incident appears to have been preplanned and appears to be holding up a "Father's Rights" sign in one clip where she actually shakes hands with Corbyn.

The incident appears to have turned quite ugly after 'Elmo' was lead away from the polling station, once Corbyn had left.

No word on whether this is the same Elmo that stood against Theresa May in 2017 but people have found it very amusing.
