The 10 companies workers want to leave... and the 10 they want to join

A study has found that 50 per cent of young professionals do not see themselves working at the organisation they currently work for in the future.

Half of the 1,000 respondents to the survey by Escape the City also wished to start their own business, with the most commonly cited reason being that their work lacks a clear sense of purpose.

The organisation, which aims to help young professionals leave the conventional career path, also looked at their 200,000 members' data to find the top 10 companies professionals wished to leave and join.

They were as follows:

As you can see, the list of companies which professionals most wished to escape from was dominated by accounting and consultancy firms, as well as investment banks.

Meanwhile the companies that most desired to join were relatively newer organisations, mostly involving either food and drink or technology-based service.
